What is HSSE assurance?

What is the difference between an audit and assurance?
An audit is one assurance activity: a structured, evidence-based examination against defined criteria. Assurance is the broader system, covering the planning, risk-based targeting, audits, reviews and follow-up that together tell leadership how well controls work.
Can you conduct ISO 45001 audits?
Yes. Our lead consultant is an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor and can conduct internal and readiness audits against the standard. Accredited certification audits themselves must be carried out by an accredited certification body.
Why use an independent auditor instead of our own team?
